CARE’s community events include seasonal festivals such as summer food truck rallies, holiday gatherings and more. CARE’s Resident Council leads the planning of these events.

Evelyn’s CARE story
Living with CARE has brought us a sense of strength and dignity
My name is Evelyn. My kiddos are Zenen, Seija, and Rohke.
I grew up a foster care ward, and after a turbulent divorce and health issues led to us losing our housing, we couch hopped and lived in the van until eventually we found CARE. We’ve now been at Swallow Apartments for almost 9 years, the longest we’ve lived anywhere! It’s our chance to build up a fruitful life together.
CARE truly cares, and I can testify to the ways being here has enhanced our lives, and those of our peers here.
Get involved, right here at home
Founded in 1992 on the radically simple idea that everyone here deserves an affordable place to live, CARE Communities built and supports eight communities where nearly 1,000 of our neighbors live great lives in good homes.
