Welcome to a new era of CARE

CARE Housing is now CARE Communities.

For 32 years, CARE Housing has been dedicated to delivering on the promise of home. We’re entering our next phase with a renewed commitment to our mission and a new name: CARE Communities.

The name and logo for CARE Housing originated with our founder, Sister Mary Alice Murphy. That brand served the organization well for more than three decades and will always be part of CARE’s story. Just as our services have expanded over the years, our brand needed to evolve to better reflect and serve today’s Northern Colorado families. The CARE team is excited to share our new name, look, and website with you.

Community focus

Care — true commitment and compassion — is at the heart of everything we do. Our new name keeps CARE as the foundation and replaces Housing with Communities. What might seem like a subtle difference is monumental to us.

As an industry, we build and manage housing. But people don’t live in housing; they live in communities. At CARE, we provide homes to create stronger communities. Our suite of resident services, from shared garden spaces to joyful events to after-school student programs, are all in service of building community. We partner with other local organizations to expand our reach within the larger community.

CARE’s seven communities in Fort Collins and Windsor are more than just buildings. They’re places to meet and play, learn and rejuvenate, live and grow. And we’re in the process of building our most collaborative community yet, Heartside Hill.

In a community, we work together so everyone can thrive.

Making our mark

CARE Communities Logo

The new CARE Communities logo embodies the:

  • Shelter and stability of a sustainable, affordable home
  • Multilayered services and support our communities provide
  • Upward mobility of the people who call CARE home and our organization as a whole

Online connection

The new CARE website was designed to reflect our community focus. Through photos and stories of residents and staff, we’re celebrating our grassroots beginnings and the amazing people who make up CARE. The site makes it easy for visitors to find what they need, with:

  • User-friendly navigation
  • In-depth information
  • Accessible design
  • Spanish translation

Applicants have quick access to eligibility reqirements, community information, and contacts. Residents can tap into community resources, connect with services, and pay rent. For our community partners and donors, CARECommunitiesNoCo.org is a place to explore the full scope of our work and impact. And if you’re interested in joining the CARE team, we’ve created a space to showcase why CARE is a great place to work.

Our new site is a window into who we are and an invitation to engage. Have a look, and thanks for being part of our community. Here’s to another 32 years of collaboration and CARE!
